As a collaborative inquiry group facilitator with the ArtsEducator2.0 project I am especially curious as to how the ipad might impact classroom efficiency and effectiveness. I wonder if it can be used to deliver content in a manner that is different from other technologies such as an ipod or a laptop. What are its idiomatic qualities? What unique qualities does it exhibit that makes it better (or worse) than the other technologies. I also wonder what effect it might have on pupil motivation.
As someone who has been known to drive over his own briefcase, or leave it on the car roof and drive away and lose a couple of wedding rings among other things, I am concerned with security and durability. Will the ipad be able to withstand the rigors of classroom use ? More importantly, will it be able to withstand me.
