[tweetmeme]Cory sent me a link to today to “The First iPad Art Exhibit.” A pretty neat idea – both a gallery showing, and a more mobile, performance art type use of the iPad to showcase digital art. When I watched the video, I also noticed other videos showcasing the iPad’s art ability.
Here are just a few more to take a look at:
- Drawing on the Apple iPad
- iPad Painting Demo
- Brushes App for the iPad
- Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for the iPad
Of course there are many more fine examples of the iPad and visual art on YouTube. What interests me in these videos is that they not only teach us something about the iPad as a tool for the creation of digital art, they also demonstrate a creative documentation of process, product, and sometimes even the teaching & learning process. As we implement the iPad with art, music, dance and theatre teachers this fall, videos such as this may help us to illustrate what documentation of learning with and about the iPad is all about.
